OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD

It doesn’t matter if you are a red or white supporter, the Southgate Hotel is conveniently located for both White Hart Lane & Emirates Stadium, so you are able to cheer on your team.

In addition, Alexandra Palace is only a 15 minute drive away, we are a great place to stop over if you are attending the darts, snooker or one of many events and concerts that are held here.

The area of Southgate is based in the suburb of Enfield, a rather leafy and green, mainly residential area, the area of Winchmore Hill has been home to some famous faces – Rod Stewart, Emma Bunton, Mylene Klass and Louise Redkapp to name a few. Growing up in the area, singer Amy Winehouse attended Ashmole School, which is now converted into a successful academy specialising in music and science.

There is a bustling town centre with many shops and restaurants.

In Waterfall Road is the Minchenden Oak, said to be the largest oak tree in England, at around 800 years old.

The Royalty Ballroom (now PureGym) on Winchmore Hill Road was used as one of the locations for the filming of cult classic movie Quadrophenia (1979).
